Abstract: | IP-XACT is now the de facto standard for description of hardware IP for CAD IP assembly tools. The next step to address for CAD is Hardware-dependent Software (HdS), with the goal to provide the same level of support for automatic or semi-automatic assembly of either (1) hardware (HW) and software (SW) IPs, or (2) pure assembly of SW IPs.
In order to express HW/SW and SW/SW dependencies properly, any SW description has to be based on a set of sound intrinsic HW and SW properties. We present such a framework & architecture for HdS dependencies based on the results of the SoftSoC project. 1st SoftSoC Workshop.
