Abstract:In low-power embedded systems, choosing the optimum design alternative is essential in order to fulfil consumption requeriments. Leakage energy represents up to 25% of the total energy consumption in CMOS nanotechnologies. High temperature increses the leakage power in the chip. Thermal modeling is usualy based on slow ISS simulations. In this paper we outline an approach for thermal estimation based on fast native simulation.
