Resumen: | Electronic design in the context of the IoT requires new frameworks supporting the modeling and analysis of the complete system in a holistic, unified way. The ECSEL MegaMart project will create such a framework incorporating methods and tools for continuous development and validation leveraging the advantages in scalable model-based methods to provide benefits in significantly improved productivity, quality and predictability of large and complex industrial systems. The University of Cantabria is contributing with the definition of a system Mega-Modeling methodology and associated design framework able to cope with the complexity of IoT-SoS. In this way, several architectural mappings for the complete IoT service could be explored, analyzed and compared against the relevant design concerns, thus allowing the selection of the most appropriate.
In this presentation, electronic system design for the IoT will be discussed. A single-source approach supported by powerful design tools will be proposed. Background results from the European FP7 ConTrex project will be described and its further exploitation through the ECSEL MegaMart project, presented. |
